What You’ll Need
Before we dive into the installation process, let’s take a look at the materials you’ll need to set up your DMX LED strip. The SIRS-E’s DMX LED strip is a versatile and programmable lighting effect strip that can be used with any lighting control software.

Now, let’s move on to the MADRIX software interface:
Click on the “Preferences” tab, which can be found at the top of the program. Then, click on “Matrix Generator” to open another window. In the “Placement” text-field, you’ll find a section with 3 axes under “Count XYZ.”
Set the X axis to 120 and the Y and Z axes to 1 in the “Placement” section.
Just above the “Placement” section, you’ll see the word “Fixture.” Set your fixture to “generic RGB light 1 Pixel.” Click apply and OK. Easy, right? With these settings, your DMX RGB LED strip is now ready to be used with the MADRIX NEO software.
Let’s move on to making the necessary connections:
Trim off the connector at the end of the power supply to expose the copper wires. Be careful not to cut the part that connects to an outlet. Take note of the wire with white lettering on the power supply; this will be your positive lead. (Make sure there is no power running through it.)
Connect your positive lead to the red strip at the end of your LED strip and the negative lead to the black wire. Make sure to have one power supply per end of the strip. Your power is now set up.
Connect the 3-to-5 pin adapter from the NEO DMX interface output to your DMX LED strip.
