These poems are a memoir of my days growing up in the village of Pentrechwyth in the Lower Swansea Valley. They capture the emotions of a child in the 50s and 60s, playing in the industrial wasteland amongst the slag tips, amongst the ruins, but also across the green spaces that were reclaiming destitution from the past. Fall into my well of time and drink deep from the emotions of my words, and you will share the emotions and uniqueness of a time and place. Come with me now, take my hand and we'll walk together through my childhood and through the ugly lovely village of Pentrechwyth.
